The first trailer for the new Disney-Pixar movie Elemental is out and it shows a new and impressive world inhabited by different elements.
Pixar is back together with Disney, with the trailer for their upcoming feature film Elemental, which opens in India on June 16, 2023. The film takes place in the fictional Elemental City, "where the residents of fire, water, Earth and air live together. This original feature film is directed by Peter Sohn.
The trailer introduces its main characters, Ember (Leah Lewis), "a tough, witty and fiery young woman", who befriends "a funny, cheesy, go-with-the-stream guy" made of water. named Wade, as the synopsis says.
Director: Peter Sohn
Stars: Mamoudou Athie, Leah Lewis
The minute-long teaser primarily takes place in an Elemental City subway, where different element-based residents travel together. There are beings of water, parents of earth who carry their children in small pots, and people of air who can easily find a space on the roof of the subway.
As Ember's headphones, wrapped in a hoodie, fall off, she reaches down to pick them up, just as another hand reaches out. The water hand belongs to Wade, and Ember immediately backs up a bit when a small drop of water lands on her. Wade immediately apologizes and then Ember pulls her hoodie away from her face to reveal herself. As they introduce themselves, an unlikely friendship is about to begin.
How this surprising friendship between these two 'elementally' different characters "challenges their beliefs about the world they live in" is what Elemental is about. Elemental marks Pixar's solo release scheduled for 2023. Elemental comes after a busy year with Turning Red and Lightyear releases.
Elemental is set to be released in theaters on June 16, 2023. Previously, the Disney-Pixar partnership has resulted in hits like Cars, Toy Story, Inside Out, Up, Turning Red, Coco and Soul. His latest release was the Toy Story spin-off Lightyear, which starred Chris Evans as the voice of Buzz Lightyear.
