 RLJE Films has acquired the US rights to "The Friendship Game," a new horror thriller from Scooter Corkle, the director of "Hollow in the Land." The film revolves around a group of teenagers who encounter a strange object that tests their bonds with each other with increasingly destructive consequences. Damien Ober, writer for the Netflix series "The OA," wrote the script. Peyton List, best known for her work on "Cobra-Kai" and the "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" franchise, leads a cast that also includes Brendan Meyer ("Color Out of Space"), Kelcey Mawema ("To All the Boys…”), Kaitlyn Santa Juana (“The Flash”) and Dylan Schombing (“Warcraft”). RLJE Films will release the film in theaters, on-demand and on a variety of digital platforms on November 11, 2022.
