Knock at the Cabin 2023 Movie Review Trailer Online

M. Night Shyamalan is best known for his mind-bending thrillers, including Split, Glass, Unbreakable, The Village, and The Sixth Sense. He is also known for giving each of his films a different look, and Knock at the Cabin, based on the novel The Cabin at the End of the World, is no exception. Universal Pictures has released a trailer for the film, which stars Dave Bautista in an unexpected role.

With some prominent supporting characters, the film seems full of tension and suspense. In this upcoming horror mystery, every second of the movie could decide the next moment, and here's the full trailer breakdown from Universal Pictures.

Your surprise ending, you never know what's going to happen, the next movie from friend M. Night Shyamalan, twisted as hell, has been announced and our boy will return to the genre he loves the most, horror. While we don't have a lot of information about "Knock at the Cabin," there are a few clues scattered around the internet that paint a fuller picture of what we can expect from the famed director's surprise ending.

Director: M. Night Shyamalan
Writers: Steve Desmond, Michael Sherman, M. Night Shyamalan
Stars: Jonathan Groff, Dave Bautista, Ben Aldridge

Of course, in classic Shyamalan fashion, nothing is what it seems, so we're expecting our scope of the film to change dramatically as more news about it emerges. Loosely based on Paul Tremblay's 2018 novel "The Cabin at the End of the World," "The Cabin Knocks" will follow a family taking a vacation to a remote cabin in the woods, when they are taken hostage by three strangers. who claim to stop the apocalypse.

Bloody Disgusting has reported that they've heard the project will be a "home invasion horror flick that takes place during the apocalypse," suggesting fascinating new terrain for the divisive filmmaker that may conjure up some comparisons to the excellent "10 Cloverfield Lane". or even "Us" by Jordan Peele.

Because it's Shyamalan, the only thing we can expect is the unexpected, but I hope this movie is closer to the tight scares of "The Visit" rather than the more bombastic feeling of "Split." Although Shyamalan loves to push himself and throw everything in his movies except the kitchen sink, when he shows restraint, it pays off.

Knock at the Cabin is actually based on a 2018 novel by horror author Paul G. Tremblay called The Cabin at the End of the World, which earned Tremblay his second Bram Stoker Award. Tremblay has several other horror novels, including A Head Full of Ghosts, but this will be the first film adaptation of any of his stories.

After his first film The Sixth Sense became a smash hit in 1999, M. Night Shyamalan struggled to satisfy some of his fans with subsequent releases. His storytelling style became known for the trademark commonly known as "Shyamalan Twist", which has been mentioned countless times within pop culture. In 2015, his career began to level off and he regained the trust of his fan base with the success of The Visit.

Since then, Shyamalan has continued to impress with Split and Glass as sequels to his 2000 superhero origin film, Unbreakable. Before moving on to Old, he teamed up with Apple TV+ to create a suspenseful thriller TV show called Servant, which is currently in three seasons with the fourth and final installment expected to premiere in January.
