Netflix's romantic drama 'If Only', by screenwriter Ece Yörenç ('Fatmagül'), already has its trailer. We tell you the synopsis, release date and cast of the new Spanish series on the platform.
What would you do if you had the opportunity to start over? That is the question posed by If I Had Known, a drama in which the protagonist of the story can travel back in time to change her life. Netflix is already preparing the premiere of its new Spanish fiction produced by Boomerang TV and starring a cast of the most televised.
If I Had Known, it has been created by Ece Yörenç (Forbidden Love, Sühan: Revenge and Love), author of Fatmagül, and for the scripts in Spanish, Irma Correa has been counted on, who has already demonstrated her ability to bring Turkish stories to the public. national with Alba, precisely the adaptation of Fatmagül. "Many of my productions have been broadcast in Spain, Fatmagül has even been adapted into Spanish, but none of them have made me as excited as If I Had Known, since it is the first time that a script of mine has come to life as an original in another country. I am very excited," says the creator. "If I had known it is an entertaining and emotional story at the same time. It is about something that happens in real life and that I recommend seeing more than once to be able to find all the details that are hidden in each of the episodes", she concludes.
The story presents Emma, a 30-year-old woman disappointed with her marriage and her routine life next to Nando (Miquel Fernández) with whom she has been married for ten years. Trapped in an emotionless existence, she realizes that if she could go back in time, she wouldn't accept Nando's marriage proposal, so she decides that she should divorce him. A few days later, a rare lunar eclipse sends her 10 years back in time, to 2008. She is now a 30-year-old woman trapped in her 20-year-old body, and it will be in this new life that she meets Rubén, someone who will make her doubt. Emma will have a new opportunity to reassess who she was and who she wants to become, with the advantage that she already knows what her life will be like in the next decade.
In the main roles we can see Megan Montaner (The Hunt, 30 Coins) as Emma, Miquel Fernández (The Knot) and Michel Noher (The Unit) as Rubén. Along with the leading trio, Jael Pascual (45 revolutions), Eduardo Lloveras (The One) and Bore Buika (Elite), among others, complete the cast. The eight chapters that make up its first season are already being recorded under the orders of Liliana Bocanegra (La Reina del Flow) and Alejandro Bazzano (La casa de papel) in locations in Seville, Madrid and Paris.
Of course, to see it we will still have to wait a few weeks, as Netflix has announced that the release date is scheduled for Friday, October 28. Until then, we have to wait a little longer to find out what this Spanish series with Turkish influences is like.
