Pokémon Journeys Episode 117 "Iris , the Path to be a Dragon Master" is one of the greatest episodes in Pokémon anime from a long long time, where it starts with a fiery battle between dragon type Pokémon's and ends with the emotional dream shattering end.
Episode 117 started with the two of the top 8 trainers of the world coronation series, Iris has a dragon master tag at her back and cynthia with the Sinnoh champion as we know very well.
Battle starts with Iris choosing Exadrill and cynthia choos toritodon, toritodon filled whole battleground with rain to which exadrill replay as metal claw, but it became ineffectinve.and toritodon takes the blow easily. toritodon then used muddy water, which makes the whole battleground filled with muddy water, to excadrill reply with his faithful attack "Horn Drill" . which bang on tartget, and tortodon is not able to battle.
Cynthia then choos her second pokemon Milotic which ends excadril with a powerfull hydropump, that makes both trainers even. Iris chooses Dragonite as her second pokemon , dragonite charges down on Milotic with electric punches that gives milotic quite a damage. after that Milotic uses charm voice to unstable Dragonite.he wants to stand to fight but beforre he could do much milotic grabs him in his arms following by the powerfull ironhead to end the dragonite in battle.
Iris then uses her final pokemon Haxorus, which uses psycho cuttler to intercept milotic's Charm Voice , and later on wrap the things up by strong wide breaker that put cynthia into loosing her second pokemon.
Now both are even so Cynthia chooses her strongest pokemon Garchomp to fight , Garchomp starts his strongest dragon type attack dracko meteore, Iris uses Reverse scale to counter cynthia's move. after that it comes to the moment where Cynthia finally revealed her final blow with revelations of key stone to make Garchomp mega evolve into Mega Garchomp.
Garchomp used his final attack which is Dracko meteore to end the battle to which Iris's hexorus could'nt stand a chance against. that ends the battle with Cynthia being the winner and advances to the next round, when she will fight against winner of "Ash vs Steven" match.
A emottion heartbreak of Iris was also seen after the match when Iris cried against his friend and companion Ash.
For conclusion i must say this was one of the greates battle i saw in a while whre both characters has been given the respect that they deserved, its also amazing to see how Iris grow as a character in the Anime.
