Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's DC Comic Book movie "Black Adam" says it all: he's not a superhero, but it's not all black and white.
Johnson plays Black Adam, also known as Teth-Adam, an alien who was imprisoned on the planet Kahndaq for 5,000 years. Black Adam shares his powers with an ancient wizard and visits Earth to come face to face with the Justice Society of America. The film opens on October 21. Aldis Hodge plays Hawkman, while Noah Centineo plays Atom Smasher, Pierce Brosnan plays Dr. Fate, and Quintessa Swindell is Cyclone.
The trailer for the Warner Bros. film first debuted at CinemaCon 2022 introducing audiences to the world of “Black Adam.” The release date for "Black Adam" was previously pushed back to October 21 along with its DC sidekicks "Aquaman 2" and "The Flash."
“Black Adam” is a spin-off of the 2019 superhero smash hit “Shazam!” starring Zachary Levi. The franchise gets a sequel, “Shazam! Fury of the Gods” will be released on December 16, 2022.
