Stars: Kayvan Novak, Harvey Guillen, Natasia Demetriou

"What we do in the shadows" is officially arriving on television.

FX has ordered a first season of 10 episodes for a half-hour comedy series based on the 2014 movie of the same name. The series comes from co-creators Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi, the stars, writers and directors of the film. The series is scheduled to debut in the spring of 2019.

Located in New York City, the series follows three vampires who have been roommates for hundreds and hundreds of years. They will star Matt Berry, Kayvan Novak, Natasia Demetriou and Harvey Guillen.

"'What We Do in the Shadows' only improves with age thanks to this brilliant television adaptation of co-creators Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi," said the FX co-chair of FX's original programming. "His characteristic version was a fun and fresh version of the mundanity of everyday life that even immortals must face. We are grateful to them, Paul Simms and Scott Rudin, and this incredible cast for taking us further into the shadows with this series. "

Clement, Waititi and Simms are executive producers of the series along with Rudin, Eli Bush and Garrett Basch.

This is not the only project associated with "What we do in the shadows" in the works. Clement and Waititi are also developing a sequel film based on a group of werewolves that appears in the film titled "We Are Wolves." The couple is also working on a spin-off series in New Zealand called "Wellington Paranormal," following clumsy cops Karen and Mike who were briefly featured in the film.

Waititi comes from a huge box office success, as he recently directed the Marvel movie "Thor: Ragnarok", which grossed more than $ 850 million worldwide. Clement is currently a regular series on the FX-Marvel series "Legion," and recently appeared on the HBO series "Divorce" and lent his voice to the hit Disney movie "Moana."

The Old Man Tv Series Review Trailer Cast Crew

Dan Chase, the lead in FX's new drama The Old Man, is on the run. They're chasing him, do you see what they did there? — by various US government agencies, at least one deadly contractor, and international adversaries. He is an intelligent man, but his main antagonist is time: a past that catches up with him and a future that becomes more finite. It's a role made for Jeff Bridges, one of those actors who was born to and into Hollywood stardom and has gracefully grown from golden boy to septuagenarian savant on movie screens across the country. As a thriller, The Old Man doesn't always deliver. His internal logic is spotty and his backstory shallow. As a showcase for Bridges and John Lithgow, the rare actor almost able to match his indelible co-star role in another indelible role, The Old Man is far more satisfying, though audiences will yearn for a more direct interplay between the two perfect notes. drives and less of the genre filler that stretches three of the four e
